More about your workshop facilitator…

Kia ora, I’m Kylee Newbold! I have designed this series of workshops to foster creativity and playfulness. They are a chance for adults from all walks of life to explore art making in a supportive environment where everyone is learning through exploration and experimentation.

I am a highly experienced Visual Arts Educator with 15 years experience working with both teen and adult learners. My ethos as a facilitator is to share skills, techniques and approaches and for learners to explore these as they please to create their own unique and original outcomes.

I am a practising artist with a passion for colour, bold patterns and continually building my skillsets. I love reimagining existing materials and incorporating these into my artworks to reduce their environmental impact. Please check out newbolddesigns.com to see my latest creations.

I wholeheartedly believe that everyone is creative. Being creative is more than just being able to draw, it's a mindset and looks different for everyone. I design my workshops to spark creative interest for all participants regardless of how creative they deem themselves to be.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting your art making journey.
